Here's one of the desert dwellers' refuges - high on the Mogollon Rim, just under 7000' at a place we call Five Mile Meadow. Great when the summer temperatures down in the desert are brutal and 2.5 hours northeast of Phoenix:
And here's one of our primary winter sites, again about 2 hours from Phoenix - to the west and not too far from the California border:
