FWIW, "correct image" prism diagonals (whether 1.25" or 2" size) probably aren't well suited to the task.
At least, for high magnification use. Their refractive properties might offer some improvement over a mirror diagonal, but the Amici roof-angle in their design creates a diffraction effect which distorts the image. I've never seen an Amici-type prism perform as well (from a sharpness standpoint) as a traditional right-angle prism.
They're great for daytime, when the observer is using lower mags and is most interested in a correctly oriented image.
All that said, if you've already got one, it would be interesting to give it a try.
