For birding/nature at a distance, I use miyauchi 22x60s-they are more comefortable than one eyed viewing, light weight, and easy to set up. These are no longer available new, but the fuji 16x70s or their clones should work as well. The individual focus is the only problem but ok at a distance with a still object.
