Hi Silvio!

I have a pair of the 18x50s and had a similar problem - I found it difficult to get them *perfectly* focused - brighter stars seemed to have 'flares' protruding from one side or another as I attempted to achieve focus. I suspected something was up with the optics (Collimation was off?) so I sent them back to Canon for service. They never informed me of the exact nature of the problem, but whatever the issue(s), they are now *much* better.

BTW, the image stabilization feature is absolutely awesome!!!
