I've owned and used the GPS version of the Cube and it just won't handle anything over 5 pounds with any reliability, regardless of what iOptron states. At OPT last week iOptron said they will be shipping a new version of the Cube, called the Cube Pro, which will have a heavier tripod, metal gearing, and other improvements. I think they said the price would be $599. Perhaps the Cube Pro will be what the Cube should have been...
