Thanks gentlemen for your input. This is my first scope. I read a lot of reviews of the Baader zoom but I couldn't seem to find any specific comments on its performance in F5 or faster scopes. I am sort of lumping responses to everyone together in this post.

From your replies, it doesn't seem like anyone has any particular concerns about the combo other than lacking wide-field low-power capability. I have a 25mm plossl currently and a 2x Barlow. Not exactly what was recommended, but close.
