etx 125 or celestron nextstar 5se?

Hello

My ETX 90 Ec that I bought back in 2000 has a broken gear in the RA/AZ drive. It happened while I was training the drives this afternoon.
I'm thinking about replacing it with either of these scopes.

This would be my grab and go scope and possibly use it for some astrophotography. I like the 5se because it is a lower F ratio which would be beter for AP. I like the ETX because I am familiar with this line (just concerned about Meade's customer service and quality issues).
