I've demoed the 17mm Nagler and was pleased with it. However, since they both have an 82 deg AFOV, why not get the 16mm as it is less money and weight? I have both. The images are identical in terms of sharpness, contrast, etc. The feel is very different, 17t4 has much more of a "floating in space" feeling. If you think binoviewing is in your future, get the 16t5; if not, the 17t4 is more enjoyable to use.
