Hi Gary,
I have a green laser pointer from Z-BOLT.com. I do not attach it to the scope. I bought two rubber plumber's washers (same diameter as the laser), and slipped them over each end of the pointer barrel, then cut matching flats about 1/4" on each. These prevent the pointer from rolling as I hold it in line with the longitudinal dimension of the dewcap. Sounds kinda "Mickey Mouse", but it works for me, and doesn't scratch the dewcap. I'm sure there are other methods of using/mounting a laser to a Q, and am interested in seeing what other members of the forum will suggest.
