Hello Steve,
I guess it depends on teh forum. I know that Observatory Central, as well as many other forums can be edited. Yahoo groups are the exception to editing rules. My only point being is that the editable post reflects one price and the current price is different. Agreed contacting the manufacturer would be the best move. However considering the potential buyer is 12 months plus out from making an educated decision the price is sure to change when it comes purchase time.

Also, I am not saying a manufacturer gets a one time shot at pricing. I am saying that editable posts need to be kept up on. If a vendor or manufacturer is going to market themselves in numerous forums across the net then it is the responsiblity of that vendor/manufacturer to stay current with the market pricing in those posts in other forums. If they do not then so be it.

Business 101, honor what you say. In this case it is in writing. Regardless of when it was written there is no time stamp or indication on the OC post that the price was going up or that was an introductory price point.
