That is called a parallelogram mount. It is great for just about any size binos and especially for big binos except you have to match the size of the parallelogram mount to the weight/size of the binos (the heavier the binos the more sturdy the mount and tripod).
You can build your own parallelogram mount of wood or metal. There are plans mentioned here on Cloudy Nights, just use the search engine for, parallelogram. I built my own using square aluminum tubing upon which I have mounted my Takahashi binos. I use the parallelogram mount while reclining on a lawn lounger and thoroughly enjoy very comfortable viewing.
