Hey, you can't argue with Physics, Jim! Absolutely. I know that the mount handles my scope with no problems. However, the SV115 is amazingly light for its size, just 11 pounds. I might be tempted to manufacture a counterweight when observing at home but when I travel with this mount I will be very grateful that I do not HAVE to bring a counterweight along.
