That's what the first two pictures are, with the additional advantage of being able to use it with one of those commonly available 12v battery power supplies. So when you're home you'd plug the wall wart into the extension cord. That supplies 12 volts. Then plug the 12v auto connector into the wall wart adapter. Away from home, you'd plug the 12v auto connector into a portable 12v battery power supply. If you have one of those portable jump-starters for your car, then you're probably all set.
