Hi Clint,
you can find the 16T on Robert Provin's catalog site in the 1978 Tasco catalog. This should be the year, when Tasco releases this telescope. My T16 was bought around 1979 in germany, as the pre-owner had in mind.
I will not activly search for the original 15x40 finder, only if I would find it on a lucky day somewhere on ebay (?), maybe I'll try to get one.
The actual mounted 8x50 finder is a very good one !
The Tasco ( Mizar ) mount has 180 teeth in RA. As I said before : the Tasco 16T IS the Mizar CX-150.
The wonderfull thing : if you unscrew the barlow element, you get a fast 150/730 mm reflector with sharp images !!!
