Alan, some of them were as quick as 10 min (Pal9, for instance, where there's not that much to draw). The larger globulars were around 20 min, and M8 took an hour (I think it's probably my longest single-frame sketch to date).
After scanning, some of them can take quite a while to adjust the brightness/contrast, levels, curves, etc. in Photoshop to get the balance right on screen.
