I think that the quotation above explain it all. I believe that Tak, Miya, Fuji and other finest brand have decided to back out of making large binoculars because there is little or no demand for this kind of binos. Making 150mm binos dosen't seem to be a very profitable business. I've been told that in Italy only 3 people have bought the new 150mm model made from UO. Sixty million people but only 3 binos sold, and no further request; the vendor obviously stopped the import. If this scenario is common around the world, it would not be a surprise if producers focused their means on something else.
I have heard an estimate of maybe 500 fuji 150mm binocs sold in the US, not counting military
