well the only good site i found was on top of the mountain just above the city it`s only 20min drive think it`s 3500ft elevation.

i could see the milky way with my bare eyes, aloooooot of stars thru 25mm for widefield and even managed to see 2x spirals in M51 with my ED80...

the only problem is that the south side of the sky is not even close as that and i can clearly see a globe of light polution rising above the city up to 30-40% of the south sky.

so i`m trying to find a spot that would be good every where u look not just E N W and still in 30min car range

i know i might be picky and should be lucky since most ppl don`t even have that so close but i`d hate to realise after 3 years of observing that there is a better spot just a stone throw away
