The Coronado Solar Max Solar Scope has provision for attaching a SM40 Solar Filter to double-stack the scope.

Does anyone know the thread diameter of the female thread to which the filter attaches on the front of the scope?

Does anyone know whether the filter has to be used with the TMax tilt-adjusting unit?

Thanks in advance for any information.
