MikeG, I am kind of surprised you said that. I can spot it fine using 25x100. The only difficulties are light pollution (being near Boston) and my neck! Unless your local light pollution is SO bad, I would think you'd have a relatively easy time being able to spot M57.
Don't get me wrong, it is a dim and rather compact object, but I can identify it quickly.
