Under my mag ~4.5 skies, there is very little (if anything) that looks impressive at apertures under 70mm or magnifications less than 15x. While I enjoy my 15x70's for viewing sprawling clusters like Alpha Persei, whenever I want to do some "serious" stargazing, the 25x100's come out to play. Anything less than 100mm just fails to produce any "wow" factor from my backyard skies. However, I do often wish that I had a pair of 30x100's, for the slightly smaller exit pupil and slightly bigger image scale.....but that's just me nitpicking.
