Well John,
We get thousands of people thru these forums. I can't think of any reason to believe their observing habits are skewed in some way different than any other sample of the vast majority of the observing public. It would certainly be a very long reach to say that any group of people that participate in forums have different observing habits than the general public. On the other hand, I could very easily believe that a select group of observers who do not participate in any discussion with a broad sampling of other people who like to discuss meaningful topics related to the hobby might just be somewhat skewed so as to not represent the observing public. But you and I have both been around long enough to know there would be no value to pin a label on either group as it serves no useful purpose.
