Working on 8" f/5.875 (first scope)

Just got my Protostar spider in the mail and was test-fitting it to the scope. Figured I'd share some pictures.

First picture shows the boards that I cut to mount the Protostar secondary to. I still have to paint these and secure them...right now they are a press fit.

You can also see the removable board that the eyepiece holder is mounted to. It uses two pegs at the bottom to locate, and will use a bolt at top to secure it. The inspiration for this design comes from the Miatascope (do a google search). I own a Fiat, so I guess you can call mine a Fiatascope.
