The PST works at f/10 and (especially given that the seeing in strong sunlight is usually rather poor) you won't benefit from an eyepiece shorter than about 9mm. Low light levels rob contrast. I found the EPs I used 95% of the time with my Ha PST were 18mm & 12.5mm orthos (Baader Genuine Ortho).
