Binocular Summation - aperture equivalency

I know nothing about binoculars. Well, I know what the numbers mean, and how to use them, etc. etc.
I want to get some, and I want some big ones. I am not overly worried about quality, just aperture. There are some 20X100 for $200 that I am looking at.
So here is the stupid question: Each objective is 100mm right? and since there is two, is this more or less equivalent to 200mm?
