The extensive inventory of astronomy publisher Willmann-Bell, Inc., has been acquired by the American Astronomical Society (AAS). Founded in 1973, Willmann-Bell was a prolific publisher and seller of astronomy books, star atlases, and software. With Willmann-Bell's recent closing, this AAS acquisition insures that these important titles will continue to be available indefinitely. AAS also plans to publish new titles under the imprint as well, selling both existing and new titles through ShopatSky.com, the online store of Sky & Telescope, which it acquired two years ago. For more information, see the AAS press release.
