NexDome Observatories Announces New Steel Domes

 

NexDome Observatories has announced a new line of steel domes in 3-, 4-, and 5-meter (10-, 13-, and 16.5-foot) diameters intended to house telescopes up to 1-meter in aperture. The new domes are designed for extreme weather conditions including winds up to 150 mph (240 kph) and snow loads of 125 pounds per square inch. NexDome steel domes can be upgraded for motorized operation, either manual or fully automated using NexDome’s Beaver dome control system, which is compatible with ASCOM platforms, as well as SkyX, and N.I.N.A.
