This review is short and to the point. I remember when i was trying to decide to buy this not being able to find one-so here it is for others.
I cannot tell the difference between the Hirsch SCT f/6.3 focal reducer and the more expensive Meade and Celestron versions. I bought the Hirsh used on CN for $40 where the meade and celestron ones often go for $80-100. I compared it to a Meade f/6.3 reducer from my local astronomy club and could not tell the difference either from the design or from actually using it. It appears in all aspects to be the exact same thing optically just with different lettering. If you are looking for a focal reducer for your SCT, save yourself some money and get the Hirsch brand.
