Description from the forums:
Produces stunning semi-free CA views of the night sky. I was actually shocked at how sharp it is for an achromat! The refractor is fully baffled. It also contains 3 tube length rods that act as collimation points to position and lock the primary element in place. Fine tuning knobs are conveniently located right in front of the focuser. This makes collimation VERY user-friendly. Because of the added rods, the OTA is rather bulky and deceiving. It actually looks more like an 8" refractor. I guess to compensate for the additions this person used a larger aluminum tube to house the baffles/rods. Everything is very secure and professionally built. The machining work is top notch as is the design (in my opinion). It also has a 4" to 2" tapered focuser that is fully functional. The previous owner added an additional focuser to the back of that focuser, for fine tuning. The inner portion of the primary objective has a bit of a haze which you can see in the last picture (looks worse here with the light). This never bothered me and the visual/imaging capabilities were phenomenal so I just decided to not fiddle with it!
Hate to sell this but I am a college student and am anticipating moving-I need a shorter scope for travel!
