This lunar dust obtained from the Apollo 15 mission came from the inside of a stowage bag used by astronaut Dave Scott that contained materials used on the lunar surface. The lunar dust from those materials transferred to the inside of the bag which was subsequently sold at Christie's Auctions in 2001 to German space collector Florian Noller. The 27 by 14 inch bag flew to the Moon attached to the left girth shelf next to Scott's couch in the command module Endeavour. Used to stow items for the trip from the Moon, the lining was covered with dust transferred from whatever the bag held. After its recovery, the bag was removed from the spacecraft by engineers working for North American Rockwell, as is indicated by a parts removal tag. I Will consider best offer.
