Nikon made a very small batch of this model in 1961. It was made as a birding binocular with a removable 3 way pivoting cast iron stand. Weighs about 25 lbs. There are only two others of this model known to exist. Nikon used a pair of their 50mm f/8 telescope tubes (in a light baby blue color) attached to their marine binocular body. Field of view is 3.3 degrees. Optical quality is superb and slightly better than my Tak 22x60 binoculars for daytime viewing. I have used these sparingly, mainly for birding, with an occasional look at the night skies mounted on a tall tripod. The highest viewing angle is 45 degrees, but if mounted on a tilt top platform you could view all the way to the zenith. The individual focusers are smooth & precise. Optics & alignment are perfect. There is small cosmetic wear here and there but everything is all original and still looks beautiful. The main prism body has a grey crackle finish. I pay for shipping in the U.S.A. Email me for foreign shipping cost. Interesting binocular or telescope trades considered (partial or full).
