Vintage (early 80s) C8 self modified for Hyperstar and mirrorless cameras like Canon EOS-M series and Sony mirrorless cameras. I am NOT including the Hyperstar, but I am including the adapters I made. That includes the corrector plate adapter for the bottom of the Hyperstar and the camera adapter for the top of the Hyperstar. I had a used Hyperstar that I got here at CN for a cheap(er) Hyperstar setup. The scope is deforked and includes the Vixen mounting bar. I also have the secondary in its holder and the original 30mm finder scope. This is a bit of a project scope since I did not make the secondary holder, but you could do that easily if you have access to a lathe and drill press. You will also need to buy a 52mm reverse macro adapter for your particular camera like this one for the EOS-M:

The nominal Sony flange distance is 18mm also:

I've got a rubber gasket (crudely cut) that allows you to put the filter glass from a 2 inch filter in the camera - I primarily used an LPR filter. With this setup, you can get a hyperstar C8 setup for half the price of a new fastar C8 and Hyperstar. This rig allows use of mirrorless DSLR's unlike the normal Hyperstar adapter. I primarily wanted a laptop free setup to save time from hauling and setting up all the gear required with a dedicated CCD as required by the normal C8 Hyperstar. I learned a lot about the superiority of using Hyperstar in light polluted skies from Samir Kharusi's web page and posts here at CN:

Pictures of the Hyperstar itself and my Canon EOS-M are for informational purposes only and are not included in the price.

Paypal only, price does not include paypal fee or shipping CONUS.
