This Coulter Odyssey I 13.1" f/4.5 mirror kit is from a 1989 model. I parted this out from the red tube because the ota could no longer hold the mirror cell safely; it shifted when aimed toward the horizon and would ruin my collimation. Everything else about this scope was perfect though.

The mirrors are in excellent condition and with their original coatings. No chips, scratches that I can find, no bubbles, no coating peel.

Images given by this mirror set was very pleasing to say the least. Though these scopes came with Kellner oculars, they are the wrong type of eyepiece to use. When using my Ultimas, Meade 5-element plossls, and Orion Sirius plossls, M13 resolved to sharp grains, staying nicely resolved throughout most of the field of view. Images get soft about two-thirds out from the center; typical of rich field mirrors from this era by large manufacturers.
The Trifid displayed its dark "X" when I was down in the Palouse for viewing. I was able to resolve most of M71. The Ring with an OIII was impressive. Before collimation issues became apparent from the weakening tube walls, I would get very good views of Saturn and the Moon.

So all in all, this is an example of a great quality Coulter mirror.

I am willing to deliver this in person up to 250 miles of my home in any direction. There will be a proper gas charge in mind, but not a reckless one. I am also happy to ship this mirror to anyone anywhere, though it will be expensive to ship overseas. Price does not include shipping.
