Here is a very unique piece I wish I knew more about.

This is a custom made finder/guidescope that was mounted on a C14. It starts with 60mm aperture optics that looks about 300mm (f/5). There's no markings but it has a rubberized outside so probably cannibalized from a set of binoculars or a spotting scope. Optics are great, a little dust but no scratches or dings in the coating. It then securely mounts to a machined tube of aluminum. I tried to unscrew them but it seems they are permanently mounted. The aluminum has marks from the mounting screws but is very solid. There's a 1.25" extension tube mounted to the end to accept any eyepiece or camera. This scope includes an unmarked eyepiece, I suspect a volcano top kellner of around 20mm. It has Japan listed on the label. Inside the eyepiece is a screw in reticule crosshair which can be removed if needed. The scope is held in place by solid rings of 70mm internal diameter. These are mounted to what looks to be a Celestron Quick Release Finder Bracket that is curved for SCT mounting but can be modified. Nothing is marked so this whole item is very mysterious but seems very well constructed.
The views through the scope are crisp and clean, very little CA and the whole assembly very solid and I suspect little to no flexure when mounted securely to an OTA.
