We have an orphaned Meade 4.5" Newtonian reflector that someone left on the doorstep of our observatory, and this scope has clearly endured a life of hardship. An eager student took it home for inspection and confirmed that the primary mirror is ruined. I'm trying to find a replacement mirror to give this little dept. store telescope a new life with a deserving or needy club member.
