These Sears (Towa of Japan) .965-inch items are from a very late '60s 60mm model and come with the often-lost lens caps. You'll also see these items with Shrine Manons, the earliest Sans And Streiffes, and direct-from-Towa.

1) The porro prism unit is beautifully made of brass, aluminum and bakelite. There are some minor scratches on the chrome barrel, but NO cracking or pits in the bakelite body, which is a rare find. The ocular barrel is excellent as is the rest of the unit. The set screw and caps are original.
The prisms are properly aligned and work quite well in my vintage refractors, but the prisms are not perfect by any means. There appears to have been fungus on the chrome-end prism and some pitting in both. I used this in my Jason 313 and Mizar 68 with great results. If you really want to deep clean this, you may get even brighter images. Still a compliment to your vintage refractor-with-wood box setup. $14.00

2) This prism diagonal is unique for a few reasons; it is all metal (mostly brass), it has (2) set screws, and it is not aperture stopped. The only other vintage diagonals of this era I enjoy are from Unitron and Carton Optical. All others seem to be stopped down.
The diagonal has the rough-texture paint on it that we see on many Criterion, Sears, and Optical Craftsmen setups.
Cosmetics are excellent with very clean paint for its age and NO dents or deep scratches. "JAPAN" is easily seen in the barrel, though tiny. Prism has some interior dust film, but gives very bright images and I find no reason to clean it. $25.00

3) 2x barlow lens with the lower original cap. This is all aluminum with fully coated optics. The set screw is original. Cosmetics are great with no dents, just some contact marks on the chrome waist. The decal is clearly legible. Optics are great+ to excellent for its age and NO cleaning is needed. I had a good time with this unit and the 20 Kellner in my Jason 313. $13.00
