I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to own and enjoy the scope from this older CN thread . It will be a great tool for my kids and I to enjoy the ancient views with an old set of equipment in current day. The provenance is a bonus. Whether or not I can track down any of the items in the referenced thread changes nothing about our ability to enjoy this scope for years to come, but it would be very cool to at least track down the crate, in my opinion.

So, if one of the members here acquired the crate, or some of the other items that were originally used with this scope, I would be interested in working out a reasonable sale or trade of some type. The thread tells all of the necessary info, so feel free to take a look. To save you the trouble of reading the link, and realizing that you have no clue about the junk listed there, this is the Edmund 4" that came from the US Navy (or, a seller that acquired it as Navy surplus) to mustgobigger, then to the current seller, and now to me. When it arrived with mustgobigger it was in a military stenciled crate, had a couple of gauges, and a few extra military-added labels. Given its history, I would love to add any of the items back into the kit.

There might be another thread or two that give more details about this scope and its previous life where it was used to conduct weapons research and maintenance. Any direction to other details about its history or the history of the weapons research in which it was involved are welcomed.

Thanks, for looking.
