GLP Now P-E-N-D-I-N-G ! ---------------------- | Posted Image

Many years ago i picked up off the CNC my first 'Z-Bolt' green laser pointer, and have ever since been a big Z-Bolt fan! Not only are their products excellent, but their customer support is absolutely phenomenal!

My initial foray into the wonderful realm of GLPs was as a *mounted* unit, functioning in the place of a Telrad, which in-turn had replaced a conventional optical finderscope. For my use, a GLP's beam & "spot" on the sky-dome works marvelously as a "cursor" as i scroll my scopes around the sky from this object to that. No more craning the neck & squinting thru peepscopes, or going cross-eyed thru red-rings on a fogged-over plastic lens. Posted Image

Yessiree, i'm talkin' "point-'n-click" manual telescope guidance! Posted Image

That stated, the last couple of winters' coldness has revealed a shortcoming to the circuitry apparently common to *green* lasers- their beam can grow weak in temps below a certain threshold when they're left exposed to the elements (ie. *mounted* on one's OTA)... from my own experience i'd guess that to range around the high 40's°F. As a result i've migrated my point-'n-click of choice to Z-Bolt's new BLP... yes, a BLUE laser pointer for my *mounted* arsenal. It was this, or else employ an active "heating" system... and the BLP fix was easier... and seems to work wonderfully. For mounted applications i use a remote pressure-switch for an easy-to-use actuator, available from Z-Bolt.

The *green* is still a brighter appearing beam in the nite sky, so i'm keeping a few GLPs for pocket use, where they remain bright for whenever needed as a "pointer"! But that leaves me one (or possibly two) Z-Bolt GLPs that need a new home- either as someone's:

* Pocket laser

* Mounted GLP for milder winter climates (rings & mount not included here Posted Image)

The unit pictured here is from their "Astro-10" line, black body & green beam, complete as furnished from Z-Bolt:
* GLP with on/off tail-switch (also includes "momentary" function!)
* two CR23A Z-Bolt brand batteries (laser runs on *one*)
* Z-Bolt certificate for the specific unit
* display case
* hefty holster (still unopened)

New these ship from Z-Bolt for $58.
I'll offer this used GLP for half of that, @ $35 shipped USPS

ConUS only.... cash, cheque, or MO please. Posted Image
