This was built for a friend but he was unable to purchase it. I kept it for myself and brought it to Stellafane, but it's not a necessity for me, and I need to make some space and cash for more projects.

Built with a 1" thick Coulter Pyrex primary, Antares 1/15 wave secondary, and dual-speed Moonlite focuser, this scope is designed to be extremely compact and portable. It weighs only 35 lbs, and fits in a car seat. The UTA nests inside the mirror box for transport, with the focuser and Rigel Quickfinder being detached and stowed separately.

It's stained with a Minwax "golden oak" finish and varnished with polyurethane. Made mostly out of 1/2" plywood with 3/4" in some sections (ground board, UTA truss brackets).

The primary mirror has just been recoated and is held in with clips. It is quite good optically. The secondary is attached to its mount with double sided foam tape but I can remove that and silicone it if you'd like. The primary and secondary mirrors are adjustable without tools. The primary mirror cell is a 3-point support - adequate for its 1" thickness - and is designed for minimum weight and maximum ventilation.

The 1" square truss poles (1/16" thick) attach with wingnuts and screws/bolts. They are extremely thick for this size scope (1" thick can work for a 20" f/5!), but this means you can attach the UTA with only half of the poles attached. The screws/bolts/nuts are all 1/4 20 so can easily be swapped for hand knobs. The primary mirror cell is removable with three hex head bolts at the back and the mirror clips can be detached, allowing for easy cleaning.

I'm in no hurry to get rid of this so I'm asking $975 plus shipping. Shipping will be USPS with 3-4 boxes, and fully insured.
