Just got a Tak Temma 400 for a large Planewave, so I have for sale a Takahashi NJP Temma 2 mount. This mount is the second one I've owned and is rated for payloads up to about 70 lbs for imaging and much more for visual observing.

I used it to image with an Orion 10” f3.9 newt and more recently, a 150mm SkyWatcher refractor with a Canon 5D MkIII which probably does not weigh more than about 40 lbs total. The mount never strained with this load. Original price was $6500 USD from Takahashi America and worth it if you are serious about astrophotography.

The legendary NJP is an extremely stable mount with very low periodic error and is arguably the best mount in this price class by far for imaging purposes. This is an excellent straight forward solid imaging platform. The mount is easy to setup. Simply point the scope straight up on the west side of the mount and sync on the zenith. Slew to a star, make a small correction, slew to another star, center it, sync and you're aligned. I used SkySafari, PHD and TheSky X with a Mac or Windows laptop or an iPad/iPhone for scope control with no problems. Included is a variable 120vac/0-30 vdc power supply. Works great set at 24vdc.

This mount comes with the original parts like the excellent polar alignment scope and illuminator, hand paddle, four 14 lb counterweights and weight shaft. Also included is a custom fitted Scope Guard Case in excellent condition.

I used an iPhone app, Polar Scope Align for polar alignment and it works great.

The mount is in excellent shape with just a few small rubs in the paint from careful normal use. The counterweights are in very good condition as this mount has always been used on a pier in my observatory and never moved.

Paypal plus 3%. Buyer pays shipping or will meet within a reasonable distance of 100 miles of St George, UT.

CONUS only unless you contact me first.

For your information, the mount seated in the Scope Guard case measures about 26X21X12" and packed for shipping would weight at least 70 lbs. The counterweights would be packed in a box about 12X12X12" and would weigh about 60 lbs +/-. The power supply would be packed in a box agout 7X7X16 and would weigh about 10 lbs.

You can calculate approximate shipping charges yourself from zip code 84738 from these figures. Note that I cannot help you determine shipping charges do to the volume of queries on this equipment.
Actual images taken with this mount can be sent to you via CN messaging or check my ad on Astromart.
