Hi everyone,

I had this large achromat (6 inch F7.9) delivered several years ago from Germany at over $800, as it was/is not available in the U.S. (only F5 version is available in the U.S.). But, Explore Scientific (ES) provides a cleaning and collimation service for Bresser scopes for free. The scope is overall in very good condition. I have owned an ES 152 AR (F6.5), and recall that this scope being F7.9 shows less CA and gives a sharper image. There are some normal dust/dried dew spots on the objective lens but they do not seem to affect image quality at all.

It comes with the following:

- Collimatable/fully multicoated 152mm objective lens with 1200 mm focal length (F7.9)
- Due cap
- Heavy-duty 2" Crayford-style two-speed focuser (I had ES professionally replace the original rack-and-pinion focuser with an ES two speed focuser (over $100 value).
- 1.25 inch diagonal
- 8x50 straight-thru finderscope.
- Aluminum Cradle Ring Assembly with a Vixen-style plate
- Rigel finder base – no Rigel finder included
- Homemade case – it is actually a rugged vinyl cover that holds the original shipping box, and functions well as a very light telescope case, as it has a zipper attached. Very nice and convenient for storage and transportation.

The scope weighs about 24 pounds and a CG5 level mount visually works well. I think that this scope is a great all-around performer with better mechanics than Meade/Celestron achromats, and gives great views of deep sky objects (nebula, globular cluster, open cluster, galaxies, etc.). It is also a good planetary performer. Personally, I did not find a false color of this scope objectionable on almost all objects. I was able to use it up to about 250x on planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, etc.) without much objectionable false color. Under good seeing, you can see lots of detail on Jupiter (5+ belts, GRS, festoons, etc.). Google Bresser 152L in Amazon uk for customer reviews.

There are a few minor scratches and chips on the tube, normal marks on the dove tail and dew shield.

I have invested over $900 for this scope. My price is $380 (please add paypal fees). I prefer a local sale and am willing to meet a buyer within 50 miles from San Diego, California. But, I will ship at a buyer’s expenses.

Note: If you don’t like this scope, I will give you a full refund ($380), provided that the scope returns to me at substantially the same condition within a month of a purchase date.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Thanks for looking,
