Unlabeled Petzval design 127mm f/5 refractor that is nearly identical to a Bresser AR127s/635 telescope. I found this at the Orion Telescope store in Cupertino last year while poking around their warehouse cleanout items and was intrigued by the design. It is very well built with a 3” rack and pinion focuser and substantial tube rings with a Vixen style dovetail. The focuser is not the best but is serviceable. There is one Cloudy Nights review of this scope which is a bit unfair in that the author complains about chromatic aberration when looking at the planets and bright stars. That is certainly to be expected with such a fast achromat, but since it has a longer f/l objective, the color is about what you would see in a 5” f/8 achromat. The advantage is for low power, wide field viewing where you can take advantage of such a fast scope. I have tried it at high powers (about 200x) on the moon, and while there is a bit of color on the edges of the moon, for me it is not objectionable. The brightest stars show a purple haze, but once again that is to be expected. Open clusters, extended objects, and even double stars are quite nice.

Paypal or cash, but I don't have a shipping box so pickup is best.
