This is a vintage (1950s ?), heavy-duty aluminum Davis-Sanford Airlift Tripod and head. These were the ‘Airstream trailers’ of large-format camera tripod’s back in the day. The head has a sliding 1/4-20 mounting stud and several additional optional 1/4” mounting holes on its large mounting plate. (The mounting stud can easily removed if desired.) The head can be set and locked to function as a stable equatorial wedge for smaller telescopes. This is the portable system frequently used by Questar in the past. It is also perfect for a large, heavy spotting scope or large format camera. I used it with my Questar (see example photo), but have gone a different mounting route and have more mounts than I need.

A tripod carry-bag is included.

$100, buyer pays shipping by USPS and PayPal fee, CONUS only.
