Have you been wanting to try out binoviewers, but you weren't sure if they would work for your eyes? Well, here's your chance to try 'em out without spending a lot of money.

I'm selling my Arcturus binoviewers to fund another project. You can read a complete description of them here. These are the same optics as the Celestrons and William Optics binoviewers. I bought these at NEAF 2015.

I enjoy using them. They give a nice pseudo-3D effect on the moon and planets, causing them to really pop out from the background. Even the Orion Nebula seems 3Dish.

So why am I selling these off so cheaply, almost half-off? Look at the very last photo. On the right side of the binoviewers, there is a flake of something inside the optics. You can see it there at about 7'o'clock. It is inside, so I have NOT tried to take the binoviewers apart to remove it. (When I take things apart, they have a tendency to stay taken apart, so I don't trust my ability to do this here.)

Believe it or not, this spot isn't as bad as it seems. Because there is no speck of dirt or paint on the left side, when you look through the binoviewers, your brain merges the two views, and the spot gets pretty subdued. Plus, the only time you can ever see the spot in the first place is when you're looking at the moon, because it's so large and bright. It's pretty easy to position any other smaller object in the field of view so that the spot isn't on top of it.

These come with two 30mm Plossls, and two nosepieces (these are essentially Barlows) at 1.85x and 3.0x, to give you three different magnifications right out of the box.

I'm selling these for $90, including CONUS shipping and PayPal fees.

I'm also selling two 12mm X-Cel LX eyepieces in a separate listing. If you want to get it all, the binoviewers and the 2 X-Cel LX eyepieces, the combined price for everything is $175.

Thanks for looking.
