StarMaster FXQ 20” Lockwood F3.3 Mirror FL 65.5”
Here is your chance to own possibly the finest and most comfortable to observe with, large aperture scope. A rare find indeed!!!
A little history on this scope.
Rick Singmaster new I was selling my old scope a 24”Zambuto - StarMaster and called me and said he was going to get out of the business and had one scope left and wanted me to have it.
After some though I said yes,who wouldn’t.
So I bought the“Last StarMaster“in June of 2015 Signed by Rick.

The scope is a Starmaster FXQ 20” F 3.3 FL 65.5”
the primary is Lockwood quartz 1.25”thick and actually 20.25“in diameter with a is 4.5” secondary.
It’s a superb quartz primary mirror by Mike Lockwood,a true performer for sure.
This scope preforms right from the start as most other scopes are jittery during cool down and at 20”of aperture It’s just the right size for easy assembly, observing is very rewarding and comfortable, tear down a snap.
The scope has all the StarMaster bells and whistles and then some , goto, secondary dew heater, Sky Commander, laser pointer, telrad, Feathertouch focuser,Filter slide, wheel barrow handles, cover and two batteries.
It’s in excellent shape always stored in an sealed enclosed trailer in my heated garage when not out under the stars.
It’s not seen much use as I’ve slowed way down in the hobby recently.
Everything works and looks like new, maybe a little dust on the mirror but all coatings are in excellent shape.
It’s very comfortable to observe with as I’m 5’7”and at zenith I need one step, eyepiece height is 67“and most observing can be done sitting down with an adjustable observing chair.
Very easy to assemble and tear down. The heaviest piece is the mirror and cell at 48 lbs.
The cost of just the optics today is 12K I will let this scope go for $13,900
It was over 20K new
I live in central IL,shipping is going to be difficult and the buyers responsibility.
We can work something out.
These scopes are rarely available so here’s your chance.
Let me know if more information is needed
