I think this an older Takahashi telescope mount, X/Y movments, probably for a second or guide scope accompanying the main scope. Not marked Takahashi but the bolt pattern is correct for common Tak mounts (35mm center to center distance) and it came to us with a large lot of other Tak items. We've scoured Takahashi catalogs from 1967 to 1995 and have not found it. It might be aftermarket made for Takahashi or it might not be Tak at all. In any event it is very well made. Frankly from the lack of appropriate scuff marks we suspect this was never used, though there are a few storage marks. Not a lightweight piece at 2lbs.

If anyone has more info on this please let us know.

$85 shipped CONUS via USPS Priority Mail, PayPal preferred ("Goods or Services" only) but not required.

NEW INFORMATION: A fellow CNr sent me this link to one of these on Zen Market in Japan. The title of the listing says it's made by Makotohosha NZ, I think. Can anyone read the Japanese shown in the various pictures?
