Vintage Sears German equatorial mount with counterweight and slow motion cables. Made in Japan - circle T. Missing two of the tiny bars/levers on the locking screws. All of the locking screws are there, just the little levers are gone, but they are easy to replace with screws from your local hardware store. The felt/material inside the cradle is in good shape. It is a bit dusty and has some age related wear. This is one of the sought after older versions where everything is made out of really nice metal parts, no plastic parts here (except for the plastic knobs at the end of the slow motion cables). No tripod included.

It's a surprisingly good mount and very light weight. Works great. Movement is smooth, but maybe just a bit on the stiff side which is good because it makes it less sensitive to scope imbalances. Cradle fits most Japanese and many of the Chinese made 60mm refractors. Cradle is attached with two bolts and can be removed and used to attach a 60mm scope to a different mount by adding a dovetail bar to its bottom or, one can add a dovetail clamp (Chinese versions which work with this available on ebay) and use other scopes with this mount by adding a matching dovetail bar to them.

Can be used in alt-az mode. Not only does it move in and can be clamped down in RA and Dec, but it can also be adjusted so the latitude adjustment points up for alt-az use and the base has the ability to rotate in azimuth with its own lock.

Would be terrific for a grab and go scope. These are very common and were bundled with telescopes sold by many different companies. These can be easily adapted to work with the cheap drives sold on ebay and there are several threads here which discuss doing that.

Asking $35 plus $15 shipping. I accept postal money orders and Paypal, but if paying with Paypal, please add 3%. Price is negotiable, I was uncertain how much to ask, please feel free to make an offer if you think my price is too high.
