Unique Polarex 5-inch Photo Equatorial Telescope set (model NS 136E) for sale.

Specifications of this Polarex:
- D= 5” / 127mm, Fl=2000mm with equatorial mounting.

- Synchronous Motor Drive (220V, 50Hz),
- Super rack and pinion focusing mechanism,
- Super Unihex rotary eyepieces holder with K 60mm (D=58mm), Monochro.40mm (D=1.25”), R25mm, K18mm, K12.5mm, Syma.9mm.
- extra Model A Unihex rotary holder with R25mm, K18mm, K12.5mm, Syma.9mm.

- several different adapter tubes and eyepieces.

The 127mm air-spaced coated objective and both the 75mm guide scope and 40mm viewfinder objectives are all in mint condition without any damage. All 16 eyepieces are working perfect, optical clean without damage.
All telescope tubes are in very good condition without hardly any scratch, no dents at all.
The equatorial mount is complete functional, including all focusers and moving parts.

A few minor points: the setting circles are slightly affected, and a small part to connect the Motor Drive (which is working fine) to a rod is (still) missing. Also the eyepiece/holder and the air operated rubber shutter of the Astro camera.
Total weight of the telescope including accessories, is 275 lb / 125 kg. I advise you to build up this telescope with two persons.
Including the original wooden cabinet for the legs (the black metal leg pins were (temporarily) removed to protect the floor!.

Asking a reasonable fair bid (high price category, OBO for this complete ultra-rare Polarex telescope in very good / museum condition. Less than five of this model 136E were sold. I will only respond to interested persons with a reasonable bid.
Of course questions are welcome and more photo’s on request.

Due to its large tube dimensions, weight and fragility of all optical and mechanical parts, I prefer that he buyer will pick it up. Eventually personal delivery in the Benelux and a part of Germany.
Clear Skies.
