For Sale: a Celestron 2" Mirror Star Diagonal for SCT threads, Celestron Part #93519, made in Japan, includes the Adaptor for 1.25" eyepieces with male T2 (42mm T-ring) threads, all in the original box. Caps are not included.

Because it mates to the standard 2-inch SCT threads on the back of most SCTs up to 8" or 10" aperture, not only does this diagonal consume less back focal distance (not needing a separate 2" visual back on the telescope), it also mounts square to the telescope's exit port and is *very* sturdy and rigid when attached. Two thumbscrews 120-degrees apart are provided to secure the 2-inch eyepiece, imager, DSLR, or the included 1.25" adaptor that also has male T2 threads.

As the photos demonstrate, the 2" mirror diagonal itself is in very good condition mechanically and optically -- no scratches or other marks on the mirror coating, and very little dust (see the 7th photo, taken with a bright flash to light up anything on the surface of the mirror). On the exterior, cosmetically the only marks to speak of are several around the outside of the knurled ring that mates to the telescope -- I haven't bothered to blacken these with a sharpie pen, but the next owner could certainly do so.

I have had this for many years and kept the original box (and plastic bag and foam sheet) in my eyepiece case, so that I could store the diagonal in the plastic bag in the box when it wasn't attached to the telescope. The box is worse for the wear, but still serves its purpose.

The only reason I'm selling this is because I recently retrofitted my 8-inch Celestron SCT with a JMI motorized focuser, so I no longer have an available SCT-threaded interface to attach this diagonal to my scope.

Asking $70 obo plus shipping by the buyer's preferred carrier. I will cover the PayPal fee.
