I try to be consistent with imaging sessions. So I normally go half hour per object. If I don't have work the next day, I may go more. a session can last 2 hours, where I will wait for target to rise high enough. While the sheer recording time is a constant, achieving focus is 95% of the work. I shoot a 10 second video and process it. if I am happy, I can use it for both Jupiter and Saturn. Mars sessions tend to last longer and critical focus on mars is hard work.

The I batch stack everything. Leave my machine running and let it stack. Processing isn't difficult now and i am a purist when planets are concerned. I dont remove the edge artifact on Mars since its a seeing artifact Having a kid requires I cut corners and be speedy with sessions. I have a semi permanat setup and getting things done is easy
