Always wanted a Celestron Nexstar 5 when they rolled out in the late 90's. Found this one locally for ridiculously cheap.
Everything functioned surprisingly despite age and wear.
Did ok on images but collimation was bad. Adjustment screws were stripped out, so had to send to Celestron HQ.
Modified a cheap ETX tripod to get equatorial setup. Ended up gifting to a young cousin who is crazy about planets and science.
